Advisory
Modo AI offers advisory work for teams that want to know how AI search treats their own site. Each engagement is scoped to the questions you need answered, and it rests on the same primary sources and methods as the published guides.
Visibility audits
An audit is a one-time review of whether AI crawlers, fetchers, and answer engines can reach and read a site. It covers the robots.txt groups for each AI bot, CDN and firewall bot settings, whether key content is present in the HTML the server sends, indexing and snippet eligibility in Google and Bing, and the site's Search generative AI control in Search Console.
It also samples AI answers for an agreed set of questions, with repeated runs, to show where the site appears and which other sources the engines cite for those questions. The access checks follow the crawler and agent access guide.
Strategy
Strategy work starts from the questions a site should be able to answer. It maps each question to the page that should carry it, identifies what those pages need to state plainly, and looks at which outside sources the engines rely on for the topic. Recommendations are tied to what Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, Anthropic, and Perplexity have published about their systems, and each one notes its evidence, so a team can tell which advice rests on documentation and which rests on observation.
Ongoing monitoring
Monitoring repeats a fixed question set across engines on a schedule and reads the results next to Search Console's Generative AI performance report, Bing Webmaster Tools' AI Performance data, referral traffic, and server logs where they're available. Reports give shares as ranges because answers vary from run to run, and they flag only the changes that are larger than that variation. The measurement guide explains why a single run can't settle much.
How an engagement runs
Most engagements begin with a scoping conversation about the site, its audience, and the questions that matter to it. From there we agree on the access the work needs, usually Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, analytics, and server or CDN logs where they exist. Findings arrive as a written report that records the method, the date of every sample, and the reasoning behind each recommendation.
What an engagement can't promise
No one outside the AI companies controls which sources an engine cites, and none of them publish their selection rules in full. We don't guarantee citations, rankings, or traffic. What an engagement can do is find the access problems that keep a site out of consideration, fix the ones within the team's reach, and give a clear, dated account of where the site stands.
